1st Annual River Ride

1st annual Our VOICE River Ride
Creating Safe Spaces on the Water, Trail & Everywhere

The event will be held at French Broad Outfitters on Saturday, September 9th. 15% of all tube, boat, and riverkayak rentals (all day) will benefit Our VOICE, and starting at 4pm there will be a festival (live music, food trucks, a raffle, locally-brewed beer). It’s going to be fun!

We’re raising awareness about sexual violence in our community and rallying support for safe spaces everywhere — whether hiking, climbing, trail running, mountain biking or floating down the French Broad River.

River trips start at 10am, Festival starts at 4pm

230 Hominy Creek Rd. Asheville, NC 28806

The family-friendly event and festival, starting at 4pm will highlight Our VOICE’s outdoor adventure and prevention programming for middle school students in Buncombe County, including Climbing Toward Confidence (an after-school rock climbing program for girls) and Backpacking Brothers (a five-day wilderness and camping adventure for boys), promoting respect, healthy boundaries, personal confidence and leadership. Your support sustains Our VOICE’s prevention education programming and 24/7 rape crisis services.
