Tuesdays & Thursdays March 5, 2013 – 28th 5:30 – 8:30 (24 hour training)
Volunteer applicants must be 20 years old, take part in an in-person interview, and allow for a background check.
The work of Our VOICE would not be possible without the commitment of our amazing and dedicated volunteers that are on the front lines of supporting survivors and preventing sexual violence.
WE LOVE OUR VOLUNTEERS BECAUSE THEY STAND OUT BY TAKING A STAND AGAINST SEXUAL VIOLENCE!!
- Volunteer Advocates serve on the 24/7 crisis line and accompany sexual assault survivors to the hospital (must have reliable transportation and cell phone access)
- PEO Volunteer Educators facilitate Sexual Assault Prevention Education programming (challenging harmful myths and teaching healthy dating/communication)for 9th graders in Asheville City and Buncombe County schools
