DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to join Our VOICE’s The Bar Outreach Project @ AmeriHealth Caritas EVERY FOURTH FRIDAY(except in November) for a two hour training session on Drug Facilitated Sexual Assault (DFSA) techniques. In this 2 hour training\, you will learn how to best intervene when harm is happening. Come to one or as many trainings as preferred! \nDrug Facilitated Sexual Assault (DFSA) occurs when drugs OR alcohol are used to compromise an individual’s ability to consent to sexual activity. This shows up in our community; what can you do to help prevent this from happening? \nThe Bar Outreach Project raises awareness of DFSA\, encourages community accountability\, bystander intervention\, and seeks to create safer spaces. The goals of The Bar Outreach Project are to: \n*Promote an environment of safety in local bars and establishments selling alcohol \n*Inform bar staff and patrons about DFSA\, date rape drugs\, and local statistics \n*Create a dialogue around alcohol impairment and sexual assault \n*Create safe plans in the event someone is drugged or overly intoxicated and more susceptible to sexual assault \n*Promote bystander intervention \nFood will be served during the events. Please register! This is a 2 hour training. \n*Childcare area is available with toys\, coloring books & tv. \n*Free parking available on both sides of building but please come through the front door at the lower parking lot. \nACNC members can receive free transportation to and from any wellness center event by calling ModivCare for a reservation: 1-833-498-2262
