DESCRIPTION:Our Voice invites adults who identify as part of the Black community to participate in a paid community focus group. This gathering is intended to provide a space for community members to share perspectives\, feedback\, and insights regarding awareness of\, trust in\, and understanding of Our Voice and the services we provide. \nThe purpose of this focus group is to strengthen our relationship with the Black community\, identify service gaps\, and ensure that our programs are culturally responsive\, respectful\, and aligned with community needs. Feedback collected during this session will help guide future outreach efforts\, program development\, and service improvements. \nThe session will be a small\, facilitated group discussion held in a welcoming and respectful environment. Participation is entirely voluntary. DESCRIPTION:Join us for an interactive training focused on practical bystander intervention and de-escalation skills. This workshop will explore how community members can safely recognize and respond to harmful situations in public spaces\, including harassment\, discrimination\, and other forms of interpersonal harm. \nParticipants will learn practical strategies for interrupting harmful behavior\, supporting impacted individuals\, and helping create more respectful and accountable communities. The training will include discussion\, scenario-based learning\, and space for participants to ask questions and reflect on real-world situations. \nThis event is open to community members of all backgrounds who are interested in developing skills to intervene safely and effectively when witnessing harm. No prior experience is required. \nCome learn how small actions can make a meaningful difference in supporting others and building stronger\, more responsive communities.
