DESCRIPTION:In observance of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM)\, the Ladies of the Beta Lambda Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority\, Inc. are hosting a community Donation Drive to support local organizations serving survivors of domestic and sexual violence. \nSexual violence impacts hundreds of thousands of people in the United States each year. Community support plays an important role in ensuring survivors have access to the resources and care they need. This donation drive will help provide essential items to organizations that directly assist survivors in our community. \nDonations collected will benefit Helpmate and Our Voice\, two Asheville-based organizations that provide crisis support\, advocacy\, and services for individuals affected by domestic and sexual violence. \nImmediate Needs\nCommunity members are encouraged to donate clothing items in any size\, including: \n\nSweatpants\nSweatshirts\nShorts\n\nHanes brand is preferred. \nA full list of frequently needed items can be accessed through the QR code on the event flyer. \nThis event offers an opportunity for community members to come together during Sexual Assault Awareness Month to support survivors and strengthen the network of care in Western North Carolina.

Sexual violence remains a critical issue on college campuses and is often underreported\, and this training will equip students with practical\, real-life skills to recognize warning signs\, safely intervene in concerning situations\, and support peers when it matters most.\n\nParticipants will learn about bystander intervention strategies\, consent and healthy boundaries\, how to support survivors\, and how to report incidents within their school.
