86 It Sexual Harassment in the Restaurant Industry (“86 It”)

The restaurant industry is responsible for one of the highest rates of federal EEOC sexual harassment complaints. Service work inherently creates imbalanced power dynamics among staff and customers, but it is possible to unify a team around principles of respect and a culture of consent.

For local restaurants, Our VOICE provides in-person, or virtual training.

An 86 It training can be offered outside of Western North Carolina for an additional cost. If your organization or business is outside of Western North Carolina, please contact us for a quote.

The 86 It curriculum may also be purchased, please contact us for details.

Bystander Intervention

Equipping communities with bystander intervention skills is an effective method for reducing multiple forms of violence within a population. These techniques empower community members to recognize their vital role in building and maintaining a culture of consent. (1 session)

For local businesses/organizations, Our VOICE provides in-person, or virtual training.

Preventing Sexual Harassment in the Workplace

Drawing the line between flirting and harassment, this program examines the spectrum of sexual misconduct. It equips staff with the knowledge to identify problem behaviors, establish personal boundaries, and understand their rights. Additionally, this training guides managers and business leaders in establishing a safe, healthy, and consent-based work culture.

For local businesses/organizations, Our VOICE provides in-person, or virtual training.
