Open Board Call
We are excited to announce that Our Voice is holding an open call for new board members to join this important work. We are accepting applications from April 20- May 22, 2026. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in our community by joining a dedicated team committed to ending sexual violence and human trafficking through education, counseling, and advocacy.
At Our Voice, we inspire hope and healing while striving to create a community free from sexual violence. As a board member, you will play a vital role in ensuring our agency functions effectively in pursuit of this mission. Your responsibilities will include creating policy, fundraising, guiding program direction, overseeing agency finances, developing community relationships, and serving as an ambassador for our agency in the community.
As we grow our board in 2026, we are intentionally seeking candidates with experience in the following areas:
- Major Gifts and Capital Campaign fundraising — as we look toward our next phase of growth, development expertise is especially valuable

Legal Expertise — particularly in healthcare, public policy, or advocacy

Community Representation — individuals who reflect and are deeply connected to the communities we serve

Regional Connectors — especially those with established networks in Transylvania and McDowell counties
