For Latinx Heritage Month, we’re highlighting the work of Lorena Cabnal, a Guatemalan Indigenous feminist and member of Tzk’at, the Ancestral Healers Network of Community Feminism. Cabnal’s work offers a different way of thinking about violence and healing. Rather than looking only at individual acts of harm, her work asks us to think about what happens when our bodies and our communities are shaped by larger systems of oppression.
